English farmland is proving to be one of the best performing asets during the recession according to the latest statistics released by the Smiths Gore Research Department.
Equipped and bare land values have consistently increased in value since 2009.
Although more equipped farms were available for sale in 2011 compared with previous years, land supply still remains at an historically low level.
